After completing a degree in fine art back in 2016, Connor went on to work a series of jobs, including but not limited to, curator, maintenance technician, commis chef, security guard, sales assistant, labourer, English language teacher, kitchen porter and a spot as the unfortunate entertainer sweltering inside an animal suit at a children’s play centre. His motto ‘A B C’, always be chasing (paper), Connor spends his downtime magnet fishing, flipping auction purchases, making knives and painting (he was due to appear on portrait artist of the year, but Covid came in clutch to save him from embarrassment). In 2020 Connor attempted to teach himself copywriting so he could make some beer money on Fiverr, spending time rewriting old sales ads and the entirety of Gary Halbert’s ‘The Boron Letters’ by hand before he realised he could go and study advertising, and afterwards he could get a job and work in an actual office! This varied life experience, a creative, extremely curious mind and a love of problem solving all led Connor towards a career in advertising as a copywriter.
Zoë studied economics and psychology in her undergraduate degree in UCC. Knowing she wanted to pursue a career in marketing, she chose these subjects to understand them from the ground up. It was there she realized she wanted more from life creatively, which led her to TU Dublin. Advertising at TU Dublin fused Zoë’s love for film, TV, music, and art with her brains for marketing. It was in this course Zoë discovered her passion for copywriting. Copywriting is the perfect fit for Zoë as she has always had a deep interest in understanding the mind of the consumer. And how to communicate with them on a real, emotional level. She enjoys copywriting as it gives her a chance to put her mind to something creatively.
